Olimpia’s Delicious Pecans!
To raise funds for the Light the Night Walk, Olimpia’s Delicious Pecans are back ! (with a little twist).
I’ve always been intrigued by the love story behind Perugina ‘s Baci chocolates and the love notes that come with each chocolate.
It started in 1922 in the town of Perugia, Italy where a young chocolate maker, Luisa Spagnoli, created a special confection for her beloved and wrapped each one with love notes.
Luisa was the wife of the co-founder of Perugina but was in love with the heir of the Perugina empire: Giovanni Buitoni. Because their love was a secret, she wrapped chocolates sent to Giovanni for inspection with love notes which inspired the tradition still practiced today.
Inspired by the love notes of Baci chocolates, this year every bag of Olimpia’s Delicious Pecans will carry a little message of magic, hope and miracles because everyone needs a little of each in our lives!
Come by Italbec or Cafe Ferlucci exclusively to pick up a bag of Olimpia’s Delicious Pecans from the 14th to the 28th of September (No preservatives - best consumed in 2 weeks)
All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma society of Canada ‘s Light the Night walk.
