What do you do?

I am a professional makeup artist working in fashion, video, photography, bridal and event makeup. I recently worked at the Superbowl for the second year in a row. I’ve also had the pleasure of working with many incredible people such as Steven Tyler, Aerosmith, Serena Williams, the cast of Hamilton the musical, Lilit Bush, Matt Hasselbeck, Simone Biles and many more.

What do you love best about your job?

What I love the most about my job is that every day is different and I get to meet so many amazing people along the way. I also love the feeling that I am empowering women. I see them look in the mirror with confidence, feeling so good about themselves after getting their makeup done. At a time when many women are feeling the need to get Botox and fillers, my goal as a makeup artist is not to change people but to enhance their natural beauty. Sometimes less is more!

What/who inspires you?

I am surrounded by so many hard-working and extremely talented women who inspire me every day to be my best me. Women are the future and we need to keep inspiring each other and support one another.

What advice would you give the next generation?

Don’t give up! If you want to succeed at anything in life it takes hard work and perseverance. Don’t look at what others have or what they are doing. Instead, focus on your own goals and always keep your head up.

What are your future goals?

My goals for the future are to continue to make people feel good about themselves through the art of makeup. To keep growing as a young entrepreneur, but also maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle along the way. And lastly, lots of travelling whether it be for work or pleasure.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Being able to love yourself, being grateful for what you have in life and travelling any chance you get.

Where is your favourite place in the world?

Besides my grandmother’s kitchen, it would have to be somewhere with lots of history and culture. Like Italy or Bali or Barcelona… Ack, I can't choose! But I do like to feel as if I've learned something new from every place I visit.

What is your motto?

Just keep swimming! I think I've watched finding Nemo one too many times! But sometimes all you can do is stay positive and keep going.
